La trajectoire d’évolution des réseaux vers le « Beyond 5G » et la « 6G (6ème Génération) » avec des technologies telles que la virtualisation, l’automatisation, l’Intelligence Artificielle et le Mobile/Multiaccess Edge Computing (MEC) fait apparaître de nouvelles dimensions dans la conception des architectures de réseau. Ces technologies vont permettre d’atteindre les changements et demandes identifiés dans la plupart des cas d’usage sociaux et industriels (disponibilité des services à la-demande, capacités de calcul pérennes, opérations intelligentes de support et de maintenance, etc.).

Les réseaux sont à présent très hétérogènes et programmables, avec pour conséquence une complexité accrue pour la gestion et l’opération. Chaque segment de réseau (notamment à l’accès avec terminaux cellulaires, WiFi, IoT, etc. ainsi que les clouds en bordure de réseau) implémente différentes technologies, chacune ses propres méthodes de management.

**Objectif scientifique - verrous à lever**:
L’objectif du Post Doc est d’explorer des méthodes de Machine Learning (ML) et d’IA pour un management de bout-en-bout intelligent des domaines hétérogènes : ledit device-edge-RAN-core cloud continuum. Les principaux verrous scientifiques et techniques à lever par rapport à cet objectif concernent la modélisation du problème et la conception d’algorithmes d’orchestration à base d’IA. L’approche sera testée sur les plateformes d’orchestration actuelles comme ONAP, OSM et celle d’O-RAN.

**Votre profil**:
Avoir obtenu une thèse de doctorat en informatique dans les deux dernières années, spécialité réseaux ou recherche opérationnelle

Architectures of mobile networks (core and RAN) and network planes (data, control, management), IoT networksNetwork virtualization, NFV, Cloud, Edge networks, SDN, automation.
Multi-agents approaches and distributed systems
ML and AI techniques for optimization and automation,
Would be a plus to have knowledge on “Multipartite Optimization”

**Le plus de l'offre**:
Le Post-Doc sera directement impliqué dans le projet européen Hexa-X.

La problématique d’orchestration intelligente est en plein essor aussi bien dans le monde industriel qu’académique.

Le Post-Doc sera à proximité des équipes de développement des plateformes d’orchestration.

Planning (sur 12 mois):

- T0-T3 : Etat de l’art et formulation du problème
- T3-T6 : Développement d’une méthode en considérant au moins 3 domaines (Edge, RAN et Cœur).
- T6- T9 : Evaluation de la méthode et intégration dans une plateforme d’orchestration
- T9 - T12 : Rédaction d’articles et présentations

Participation aux réunions et travail collaboratif au sein du projet Hexa-X.
