**Description**:
We are looking for an experienced Business and Project Development Manager to join our growing team in Lyon.

In this role you will grow the project pipeline in France, identify opportunities for developing utility scale solar and battery storage projects and evaluate potential M&A/ JV deals. You will support the projects from identification through the whole process: from project origination to project management and coordination support. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring the successful origination, development, and execution of solar projects in France.

Business Development:

- Identification and qualification of sites with high photovoltaic potential PV and potential BESS projects.
- Identification and pursuing co-development, M&A opportunities to foster strategic growth and partnerships.
- Definition and implementation of the commercial strategy to increase the portfolio of large-scale PV projects.
- Participate in the development of the project portfolio with projects of proven feasibility and profitability.
- Prospect and transform the sites identified into projects secured by Emeren.
- Complete the signing of lease promises and leases as well as obtaining municipal deliberations favorable to PV projects - preparation of offers.
- Set up and manage a network of reliable business providers.
- Work in collaboration with the rest of the team and in particular the land development team
- Participate in the development of certain projects (obtaining authorizations in coordination with the project manager

Project monitoring and management:

- Regular reports on the progress of prospecting and site identification
- Pre-feasibility study of the sites in view of the constraints in force
- Maintaining an up-to-date customer file
- Communication with the project team on the needs necessary for the implementation of commercial action
- Monitoring clients and landowners during the development phase of projects, maintaining the link between clients and Emeren.

Commercial:

- Strategy implementation with management
- Carry out prospecting campaigns.
- Represent the company during physical meetings and propose photovoltaic offers to owners and town halls.
- Transform prospecting into the signing of a promise to lease and then of leases and achieve the objectives set - obtain municipal deliberations.
- Develop and monitor the client portfolio and business providers.
- Develop relationships of trust and proximity with customers, administrations, and prospects.
- Monitoring of competition and maintaining Emeren in market offers.
- Define the differentiating elements for Emeren offers.
- Technical support for the feasibility of projects.
- Technical support to the project team regarding known PV components.

Project development
- Support qualification of projects at the technical and financial level.
- Internal feasibility study in conjunction with the teams.
- Support in the conduct of negotiations with businesses and local administrations once the promises have been signed.
- Provide support in obtaining all project authorizations if necessary.

**Requirements**:
**Ideally you have**:

- 4-5 years’ experience in solar PV/ BESS/ wind project related environment. M&A experience is an advantage
- bachelor’s degree in economics, Technical, Law, or relatable area.
- familiarity with the authorization process for zoning, environmental/ building codes, and land/ grid connection conditions;
- Ability to assess energy projects from an economical and legal perspective;
- ability to work independently and proactively approach stakeholders;
- excellent computer skills including MS Outlook, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems;
- English and French fluency;
- driving License (Category B);
