About the Role:
Are you ready to step into a dynamic role as a Business Development Manager (BDM) in Grenoble, France? Our client, a leading company in the electronic manufacturing services (EMS) industry, is seeking a passionate and driven individual to take over a vital position. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with our client's European sales team, securing new and existing business opportunities to meet sales objectives and generate profitable revenue. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in electronics manufacturing, contract manufacturing, or high-level assembly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and nurture relationships with prospective and current clients.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities in related industries.
- Collaborate within a diverse team, contributing to solution selling and understanding client problems.
- Achieve sales objectives through a balanced approach of hunting and farming.
Key Qualifications:
- Ability to formulate account plans, present and implement tactical selling plans, and conduct business reviews with both prospects/customers and internal management.
- Identifying and cultivating new business opportunities and relationships through research, networking, and follow-through.
- Establishing and maintaining a high level of direct interaction with executive decision-makers.
- Ability to understand customer problems and proactively suggest solutions.
- Financial acumen, including an understanding of P&Ls and pricing models.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive customer solutions.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, along with organizational capabilities.
- Effective multitasking and project management skills, handling multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
Key Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in a Business Development role.
- Background in electronics manufacturing, contract manufacturing, or high-level assembly (open to other relevant sectors like avionics or medical is a plus).
- Proficiency in English (mandatory) and fluency in French, with Italian and Spanish language skills, is a plus.
- Ability to work autonomously, adapt to complex corporate cultures, and be a team player.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the patience to navigate lengthy sales cycles.
- Strong project management, prioritization, and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) or equivalent qualification.
- Willingness to work initially in a hybrid setup and then remotely.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for business purposes.
