About the job
**MISSION**
The role sits in the Global Compliance team at Danone Global Headquarter in Paris. The Data Privacy Officer will report to the Chief Compliance Officer. As a senior member of the team the Data Privacy Officer plays a critical role in ensuring that Danone is compliant with data privacy law in the context of fast company digitalization, wherever we operate in a worldwide perspective.
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ensure compliance to regulations pertaining to data protection as GDPR, CCPA etc.
- Educate the Company and employees on compliance linked to data privacy protection and train data handling staff
- Define actions to be led in regards of potential risks and constraints the Company is facing. Help to map all data processes
- Put in shape the Company data compliance program to show, in case of control, data handling policies, data protection assessments and related documentation (how the information is collected, processed, how long data is retained and the secure data environment)
- Proactively report issues with data processing, such as data breaches
- Collect information to identify and analyze processing activities
- Manage a team of 2 and animate a community of legal people in Danone's various locations to ensure the right level of expertise

- An appropriate and effective Governance system on data privacy : policy, guidelines and guidances, training,...
- Audits to ensure GDPR Compliance and address potential issues. Ensure deployment of action plans to fix issues
- Inform, advise, and issue recommendations on data handling
**MAIN INTERACTIONS**
- Internal: all functions data owners, data stewart (Marketing, Sales, HR, Operations, Procurement, R&I); head of functions at Executive Committe level ; all Business Unit’s legal experts; General Counsel Board; IT&Data Board
- External: authorities; law firms
About you
**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE**:
- Strong legal background with 10 years’ experience within a reputational international Law Firm or Relevant experience in Data Privacy within an international company
- Relevant expertise in Data Privacy Law
**SKILLS & COMPETENCIES**:
- Strong capabilities in Data Privacy Law & IT and Data transformation. Ability to speak both langages (legal and data)
- Ability to innovate in an uncertain and moving environment
- Agility and ability to manage a high level complexity, take the decisions while assuming associated risks to build the future
- Ability to manage, empower and make grow expert teams
- Ability to develop networks internally and externally
- Fluent in French and English
