**About the role**:
As our Sales Director, you will be playing a pivotal role in driving commercial success through a strong focus on sales outputs, cost management, and performance metrics as outlined in the P&L. You will be implementing effective strategies to optimize retail opportunities and ensure Dyson's profitability aligns with overall market goals. Each month, you will be responsible for delivering sales volumes and communicating any budget, target, or forecast changes to the management team and the broader business. Collaborating with Marketing and Finance, you will be planning and executing below-the-line investments to achieve the best return on investment, and you will lead the planning and execution of new product launches with key customers.
You will be bringing cohesive leadership to the Key Accounts and Physical Activation teams by inspiring, leading, and motivating them through regular feedback, one-on-ones, personal development plans, and clear objectives. You will ensure that customer experience is central to all processes and decisions, manage processes to maximize team effectiveness in meeting business goals, identify gaps in knowledge and skills, and develop appropriate training solutions while fostering talent and succession plans.
In leading the controlled retail strategy through the Retail Activation function, you will be monitoring and controlling the P&L for physical and offline retailers, delivering cost-effective solutions across the portfolio. You will be overseeing the ROI of all Expert and Stylist programs, ensuring all experts are trained to the highest standards, and maintaining these standards across the network. You will work cross-functionally with Training, Marketing, and the Digital team to ensure integrated plans, collaborating closely with Group Retail and Group Commercial teams to maintain consistent customer experiences across the portfolio.
You will be developing a deep understanding of Dyson's retailers and their objectives, influencing at all levels to deliver business plans, conducting regular meetings with key trade contacts to ensure customer account plans are on track, and leading major trading agreements and negotiations. You will be championing and delivering key customer initiatives both within Dyson and with customers, promoting sales objectives effectively across key functions.
