Senior Technical Specialist – Marshall Location: Clermont Ferrand, France We are looking for an experienced technical specialist to operate as part of the Technical Support Group (TSG) deployed at our contractor facility. The incumbent will provide Marshall technical representation and support to the Prime Contractor (SIAe) and the French Air‑Force, delivering technical support services and engineering reach‑back in alignment with the service level agreement. Responsibilities / Technical Knowledge Provide technical assistance for Demande‑Réponse (D‑R) requests. Respond to general and specialist technical questions and coordinate with the Cambridge‑based Technical Support Group. Review and discuss maintenance issues, conduct real‑time troubleshooting, and review technical documentation (Lockheed drawings, EDCS, PCM, EMAP). Support the Aircraft Type Certificate holder and coordinate with the Airworthiness Support Group. Identify repair solutions for aircraft damage, review Damage Reporting Forms for completeness, and chair weekly repair review meetings. Manage obsolescence: review items raised by the customer, notify of new obsolescence, and attend bi‑monthly review meetings. Provide airworthiness advice & investigations, attend weekly reviews with the customer, and monitor maintenance input queries. Meet KPI response times for technical queries. Negotiate and submit penalties to Commercial and Financial teams. Maintain cordial relations with all stakeholders. Targets Meeting technical query response time KPI’s. Reviewing penalties and supporting penalty exoneration. Negotiating final penalty amounts. Maintaining professional stakeholder relationships. Education / Skills Technical or engineering background – essential. Structural repair knowledge of the C130 aircraft – essential. Self‑motivated, flexible team player capable of working independently on site. Excellent verbal and written skills in English and French at a technical level – desirable.
