Key Account Manager, Hobby Retail - Fanatics Collectibles Join to apply for the Key Account Manager, Hobby Retail - Fanatics Collectibles role at Fanatics The Key Account Manager – Hobby Retail is responsible for driving sales growth and profitability across the Hobby Retail channel in France, with a particular focus on strategic accounts in the Paris region and nationwide key partners. This role will develop strong customer relationships, manage complex commercial negotiations, and deliver sustainable long‑term growth within the French hobby and collectibles retail sector. The position requires strong commercial acumen, deep understanding of the French retail landscape, and the ability to navigate both traditional and modern trade environments. Collaboration with internal teams and external distributors will be key to delivering execution excellence and achieving category leadership. This is a full‑time role, in the designated office 5 days per week. Responsibilities Manage and grow sales performance across Hobby Retail accounts in France, ensuring delivery against sales, margin, and profitability targets. Develop account‑specific strategies that align with brand and category objectives across key partners and independents. Lead the onboarding of new hobby and specialist accounts, identifying opportunities that drive incremental growth and brand visibility. Conduct market analysis to understand category trends, competitor performance, and consumer behavior, informing account planning and channel strategy. Build and maintain long‑term relationships with retailers and distributors, acting as the primary commercial contact for negotiations, promotions, and planning. Partner with internal teams (Marketing, Brand, Planning, Logistics, Finance) to deliver seamless customer execution and exceptional service. Provide accurate sales forecasts, performance reports, and insights to senior management. Implement joint business plans and promotional activations, maximising retail impact and consumer engagement. Represent the company and its brands at trade fairs, hobby events, and industry meetings in France and across Europe when required. Knowledge / Skills / Experience Minimum 5–7 years of experience in Key Account Management or Sales, ideally within Hobby, Toy, Game, or FMCG sectors. Proven success in managing major French retail accounts and delivering consistent sales growth. Strong knowledge of the French retail environment, distribution models, and buyer negotiation processes. Experience with collectibles, trading cards, or hobby channels is highly desirable. Excellent commercial and financial acumen, with solid understanding of pricing, margins, and forecasting. Fluent in French and English (both written and spoken). Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing at senior levels. Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities autonomously. Adaptable and resilient, with a hands‑on approach and entrepreneurial mindset. Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
