Getaround is the world's leading carsharing platform with a community of over 5 million users sharing thousands of cars in over 300 cities in the United States and Europe.
The Getaround app allows city dwellers who don't own a car to instantly reserve a vehicle, whether for a few hours or a few days, directly from their smartphone.
Founded in 2009, the startup has experienced very strong growth: it is now present in 8 countries and recently expanded into Europe with the acquisition of car-sharing startups Drivy and Nabobil.
The headquarters are in San Francisco and the team has offices in Paris, London, Berlin, Barcelona, and Oslo.
Getaround has been certified Great place to work in France and Norway, for the year 2022.

Your mission:
- You will own the growth marketing strategy for Getaround in Europe, from user acquisition to retention. You have the unique opportunity to shape the roadmap for initiatives that will fuel growth across our markets.
- Drive the strategy, budget and execution of new driver acquisition and retention through all online channels - including SEA, Paid Social, CRM.
- Oversee customer lifecycle metrics, from onboarding to conversion and retention, working closely with Product and Data teams to launch and test initiatives that will improve our funnel and lifecycle metrics.
- Design, execute and analyze performance marketing campaigns: identify opportunities, prioritize, lead execution, allocate budget and monitor performance. Collaborate closely with our Brand team for impactful creatives and messaging.
- Contribute to Product roadmaps by submitting and sizing initiatives, framing needs, engaging in technical discussions, following-up on execution and impact tracking.
- Analyze performance and set up reporting to drive predictable growth and enable actionable decisions. Build tools to assess marketing efficiency and tie marketing performance to overall business growth.
- Continuously experiment and iterate to optimize the playbook for demand growth across our markets.
- Lead and manage the growth marketing team locally (2 direct reports and 1 freelancer), nurture talents and develop your team’s strengths.
Who you will be working with:
- You will be part of the Marketing team and report directly to Marie, VP of Marketing for Europe, as well as dotted line to Reese, VP of Marketing NA and Global Head of Growth.
- Your role is European: you will work from our office in Paris, for all the European countries where Getaround operates. On an ad-hoc basis, you will also be able to take part and lead global growth projects for the company.
- You will work closely with our North-America team to share best practices and mutualize efforts whenever possible.
What you will bring to the table:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Growth / Performance marketing or Demand Generation in a startup environment or digital agency.
- Track record building effective multi-channel marketing strategies from ideation to execution, across all funnel stages.
- Expertise of growth marketing tools: ad platforms (Google Ads, Meta, Apple Search, LinkedIn, etc.), attribution methods, CRM/automation systems and robust technical skills that enable you to get your hands dirty on every initiative and engage in deep technical discussions with our Data and Product teams.
- Strong analytical skills and capacity to report on budget, performance and forecast. Knowledge of key marketing ratios and efficiency metrics (LTV:CAC, ROAS…).
- Curiosity for all things growth and ability to stay on top of your game on latest digital trends and growth techniques.
- A creative spirit and startup mindset, with a desire to learn from peers and share your knowledge.
