Security Software Engineer - Tech Foundations Alan’s mission is to help people live in good health to 100 while turning health benefits into a valued investment for employers. We build a vertically integrated health partner that seamlessly unites insurance and smart healthcare delivery for millions of users across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada. About the role You will join the Tech Foundations team to protect sensitive health data and strengthen our security posture across engineering. Your work will focus on: Infrastructure enablement for product crews (hosting, CI/CD, scalability, multi‑cloud architecture) Security and compliance facilitation (authentication, encryption, threat protection) Developer productivity enhancements (local setup, monorepo tooling, observability, tech stack evolution) Design and development unification (design system, accessibility) AI‑assisted engineering enablement (agentic development, code assistants, MCP servers) Focus for 2026 We will expand our cloud footprint, elevate the quality bar across the stack, and innovate our AI‑augmented development tools, while deepening our security stack and tooling to protect developers and users. Responsibilities Use application and infrastructure security expertise to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities in web and mobile applications. Protect organizations from cyber threats and respond to security incidents using monitoring platforms. Build secure products and systems, integrating modern security practices into the development lifecycle. Work with cloud security and modern web application security domains. Qualifications Strong background in application and infrastructure security, including hands‑on penetration testing. Experience protecting organizations from cyber threats and managing incident response. Proficiency with object‑oriented programming (Python, Java, C#) and enthusiasm for modern JavaScript. Willingness to work in Python/JavaScript without requiring prior experience. Passionate, self‑starting, entrepreneurial, collaborative, and fluent in English.
