About the role
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely accounting and financial reporting. Working closely with the Finance Leadership Team, Financial Controllers, and key stakeholders, you will oversee accounting activities, support financial analysis and reporting, and ensure effective closing and internal control processes.
You will also contribute to process improvements and transformation initiatives within the Accounting function, while providing accounting expertise and guidance in a complex and international environment.
What you’ll be doing
- Support the finance leadership team in ensuring the proper application of statutory, Group, analytical, tax, and regulatory accounting rules.
- Coordinate the recording and verification of accounting data for the entity.
- Lead and review account reconciliations and justifications.
- Coordinate analytical reviews of the income statement and balance sheet.
- Share findings with Finance Management of the entity.
- Manage accounting relationships with entity financial controllers, other departments, and third parties, and respond to their requests.
- Provide various reports to financial controllers and other stakeholders to facilitate performance reviews.
- Train and inform financial controllers on applicable rules and their updates.
- Prepare, distribute, and ensure compliance with local and Group closing schedules.
- Prepare statutory financial statements and other required summary documents and reporting packages.
- Monitor regulatory developments in accounting, financial, and/or tax areas.
- Identify and inform management about required process improvements, and support the AITS accounting team in driving corresponding solutions.
- Support the finance leadership team in the efficient and effective application of the entity’s internal controls, and ensure proper process and control documentation.
- Contribute to transformation projects of the AITS organizational model (Accounting Department)
About you
- With at least 5 years of experience in a complex and demanding environment, you are recognized for your communication skills, agility, collaborative mindset, and your ability to identify and propose solutions.
- Strong knowledge of (statutory and international) accounting and tax rules and techniques.
- Proficiency in accounting and management IT systems.
- Knowledge of MSD required.
- Understanding of internal procedures.
- Professional level of English and French.
