About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Data Engineering to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for defining and delivering our data engineering, data governance, and data science roadmap. You will work closely with department heads to empower us to better serve our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Craft and own the Data Engineering, Data Science, and Data Governance roadmap, aligning high-priority projects with cross-functional partners.
- Lead a team of engineers and analysts, fostering collaboration with internal stakeholders to execute the strategy effectively.
- Implement and take forward our data governance strategy, ensuring the security and integrity of our data.
- Develop both short and long-term strategies to enhance revenue growth and preserve overall platform value.
- Spearhead the enhancement of operational tooling strategies and vendor relationships to deliver impactful insights.
- Proven track record in leading and managing diverse data teams, including data engineers, and analysts.
- Demonstrated ability to drive a data strategy that aligns with business objectives.
- Strong people management skills with a focus on fostering collaboration and professional development.
- Deep knowledge of data engineering, data science, and business intelligence tools and methodologies.
- Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
- Leadership of previous data function, with strong stakeholder management.
- Management consulting, marketplace growth operations, or strategy work in a large business.
