Nivoda is a leading B2B diamond and gemstones marketplace, connecting jewellery retailers to gemstone suppliers. Our platform enables businesses to buy and sell diamonds efficiently and securely.
The RoleWe are seeking a seasoned data professional to lead our data engineering and science efforts. As the Head of Data, you will be responsible for defining and delivering our data strategy, working closely with department heads to empower our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Craft and own the data engineering, data science, and data governance roadmap, aligning high-priority projects with cross-functional partners.
- Lead a team of engineers and analysts, fostering collaboration with internal stakeholders to execute the strategy effectively.
- Implement and take forward our data governance strategy, ensuring the security and integrity of our data.
- Develop short and long-term strategies to enhance revenue growth and preserve overall platform value.
- Partner closely with product, operations, and revenue teams to help their analysts develop strategies aimed at improving user experience and overall marketplace performance.
- Proven track record in leading and managing diverse data teams, including data engineers, and analysts.
- Demonstrated ability to drive a data strategy that aligns with business objectives.
- Strong people management skills with a focus on fostering collaboration and professional development.
- Deep knowledge of data engineering, data science, and business intelligence tools and methodologies.
- Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
- Knowledge of ML model frameworks, tuning, and productionisation.
- Experience implementing data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
