We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our team at IDEMIA, a leading provider of identity and security solutions. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality of our products and processes, from development through to production.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze and anticipate risks by participating in the preparation and monitoring of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) reports.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by preparing, coordinating, and supporting the delivery of quality documentation, including Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documents.
- Ensure product/process compliance by developing control plans at each project phase, in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Validate reference samples to guarantee cosmetic conformity of products, following a defect catalog.
- Ensure the robustness of Product/Process developments by promoting the rigorous application of quality tools and statistical methods, such as Capability, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
- Manage customer relations by gathering specific customer requirements and participating in project reviews for quality issues, managing audits in collaboration with internal teams.
- Facilitate problem-solving by effectively resolving quality issues using appropriate methods, such as 8D, Quality Review and Corrective Action (QRCI), and Kepner Tregoe.
- Support supplier quality management by assisting quality teams in managing suppliers.
- Minimum 2-3 years of quality experience in the automotive industry, preferably in project management.
- Engineering degree or equivalent.
- Knowledge of quality tools, including FMEA, Control Plan, Capability, MSA.
- Experience with APQP processes and PPAP documentation.
- Mastery of problem-solving methods.
- Knowledge of IATF standards (a plus).
