Product Manager for Technical Solutions

The Technical Product Manager will play a pivotal role in steering the development and integration of features as well as ensuring a robust and scalable infrastructure within our Unite platform. This position requires aligning product strategy with the overarching business objectives of IDT while leading a team of skilled developers.

A solid technical foundation, exceptional project management capabilities, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather and prioritize product requirements effectively.
  • Define and communicate a clear product vision and user stories to ensure clarity and focus for developers during implementation.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and guiding software development teams.
  • Strong comprehension of software development and web technologies.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • A comprehensive understanding of cloud infrastructure, including architecture, optimization, and security practices, to guarantee the efficient and reliable operation of the Unite platform at scale.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of product features, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project scope.
  • Stay informed about emerging technology trends and evaluate their potential impact on the Unite platform and business goals.
  • Provide technical direction and insights to the development team, assisting in resolving complex technical challenges as they arise.
Required Qualifications:
  • The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in managing and optimizing fault-tolerant and high-availability systems within a UCaaS platform environment.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with real-time communication, VoIP, and related products.
  • In-depth understanding of these systems, including their configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization for high availability.
  • A strategic mindset capable of formulating and executing plans to ensure the stability and resilience of large-scale, real-time communication systems.
  • Proven success in developing and implementing strategies that ensure system stability and resilience, addressing the complexities of large-scale, real-time communication systems.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage projects according to story points and ensure timely delivery of initiatives.
  • Capability to lead and mentor a technical team while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication and leadership abilities, are crucial for success in this role.
  • Preferred: experience with key technologies such as Asterisk, Kamailio, Redis, Kafka, and other relevant technologies.
