About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced TV Sales Executive to join our international sales team at CANAL+ Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for licensing sales of our TV series productions in key markets such as South East Asia, Mena, and Airlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct Sales responsibility for international licensing sales in specific territories to be confirmed
  • Manage deals across all TV and digital platforms, whilst maximizing window opportunities and content potential and respective Output deals
  • Exploring additional revenue streams
  • Ensure excellent relations towards our production companies updating them on all Sales efforts
  • Provide Production with Sales projections and sales strategies on commercial viability of future projects
  • Use strong analytical skills to contextualize content availabilities and purposefully approach content exploitation strategy and deal structures
  • Develop strong relationships with clients in order to better understand their needs and therefore effectively exploit STUDIOCANAL's content
  • Successfully negotiate, co-ordinate and drive through licensing deals
  • Develop strong internal relationships and work closely with the Legal Department, the Marketing team and other Sales functions
  • Manage Sales Tracking & Sales Reporting
  • Work with Management to set budget, forecasts and manage targets throughout each quarter
  • Keep abreast of market and competitor developments in order to spot revenue generating or revenue maximizing opportunities and to put into action within managed accounts
  • Keeping in regular contact with Licensees through correspondence, telephone calls, territory visits representing STUDIOCANAL TV at key industry events and Markets
  • Provide strategic support on larger key negotiations and have a good understanding of larger deal implications
  • Point of contact for the sales team/consultant in the absence of the head of Sales
  • Supervising the financial tracking dashboard and strategy documents
Requirements
  • Fluent English and fluency in additional languages (especially French) is a strong bonus
  • You will have a proven track record of commercial success and an established industry network with strong commercial knowledge
  • You have 1 to 3 years' previous experience in the media industry, preferably television and/or film
  • You have a good understanding of traditional and non-traditional television services and platforms
  • You have a keen sense of content and its target audiences
  • You have excellent analytical and strategic skills to anticipate and develop new business models and maximize revenue potential
  • You have excellent communication and presentation skills as well as an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong drive to succeed
  • You are a strong team player with experience of working in international structures/with teams in multiple locations
  • You have project management skills, with the ability to start and prioritize independently
  • You know how to set objectives and manage a budget
  • You know how to work quickly and effectively under pressure as well as to multi-task efficiently
  • You have a creative mindset identifying suitable projects for distribution
