We are seeking a highly skilled Research Engineer in By-products to join our team at ArcelorMittal. As a key member of our R&D department, you will play a crucial role in developing innovative solutions for the valorization of new by-products, minimizing CO2 emissions, and waste management.
Key Responsibilities- Identify challenges and blocking points for the valorization of new by-products
- Propose and develop innovative solutions for their full use inside (or outside) the ArcelorMittal group
- Validate solutions at lab or industrial scale (build equipment, run tests and industrial trials, analyze results)
- Participate in the R&D development strategy with R&D stakeholders (Portfolio, sales teams, CTO, etc.)
- Participate in transversal activities in safety, environment, and quality management
- Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Hydrometallurgy, Electrochemistry, Pyrometallurgy, or By-products treatment and valorization
- Previous experience in R&D applied to an industrial context is an asset
- Fluency in French and English
- Skills in laboratory, pilot experimental tools use and development, and simulation
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment
- Team player with the ability to network and interact with R&D and plant personnel
- Ability to propose new solutions, be innovative, and results-oriented
