Operational Efficiency Manager

Position Overview:
As a pivotal figure within the organization, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting data to construct comprehensive cost models for our diverse range of products and initiatives. Your expertise will be essential in formulating and validating hypotheses, while also crafting and presenting actionable recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop intricate cost models for our product offerings, conduct thorough product evaluations, and establish a clear understanding of cost determinants to identify optimization prospects.
- Organize and facilitate brainstorming sessions, workshops, and benchmarking activities with cross-functional teams, leading discussions on design and cost trade-offs.
- Create well-structured documentation that conveys a coherent narrative and synthesizes findings and opportunities, highlighting both business impact and effort required.
- Assist in the execution of identified opportunities from benchmarking sessions and supplier workshops during the product development lifecycle, collaborating closely with product managers and owners.
- Engage and inspire global cross-functional teams on productivity initiatives, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Oversee selected productivity initiatives as the primary program manager, driving significant contributions to overall productivity outcomes.
- Exhibit a team-oriented mindset and a genuine eagerness to expand knowledge about broader engineering and operational challenges.
Goals & Performance Metrics:
- Maintain a robust pipeline of productivity opportunities across our product range, consolidating plans for the upcoming year and committing to execution.
- Achieve full compliance with our productivity plans.
- Provide monthly reports into the designated tracking tool, ensuring a single source of truth.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and maintain justified confidence levels regarding financial forecasts.
- Deliver monthly updates on risks and opportunities compared to financial forecasts.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in design engineering or research and development, ideally holding a Master's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Demonstrated success in project management.
- Experience in managing cross-functional programs.
- Ability to communicate effectively and transparently with executive stakeholders.
- Proven adaptability in high-pressure and ambiguous situations.
- Strong planning and prioritization skills, with the ability to organize teamwork within diverse and international teams.
- Familiarity with manufacturing operations is a significant advantage.
