Area Sales Manager

Norit Activated Carbon is a leading global supplier of activated carbon solutions with a rich history of over 100 years in innovating and developing solutions for various applications. We are dedicated to providing cleaner and safer production environments for companies, municipalities, and end-users worldwide.

We are seeking a highly experienced sales professional to join our expanding team as an Area Sales Manager for the Mid France territory. The ideal candidate will manage specialty or complex accounts, drive the sales of Norit products, and generate and achieve all sales and profit metrics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage sales territory around South of France and sell Norit products to generate target levels of revenue, volume, margins, and days outstanding from the customer base.
  • Develop strategic sales plans, foster strong customer relationships, and contribute to our ambitious market expansion goals.
  • Drive both current and future value for Norit by building a shared understanding of individual customer and overall portfolio profitability.
  • Effectively communicate and negotiate complex sales contracts with customers, educate them on new products and product enhancements, and articulate and present product features and benefits.
  • Identify new market opportunities and target builds, seek out competitive information, and establish and maintain processes that ensure accurate budget and forecast information for the business.
  • Lead Norit's efforts to establish levels of excellence in sales and distributor management and customer service.
  • Provide leadership that assists management in setting strategic initiatives and programs to achieve corporate strategies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a field of science.
  • Previous experience with activated carbon, filtration and purification technologies, food additives, or water treatment or working for a distributor is preferred.
  • Five or more years of experience in sales.
  • Fluent French and English language skills.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Results-driven and business-savvy professional who is able to recognize new business opportunities.
