Area Sales Manager

NORIT Activated Carbon is a leading global supplier of activated carbon solutions with a rich history of over 100 years in innovating and developing solutions for various applications.
We are seeking a highly experienced sales professional to manage our Mid West France territory and drive the sales of our products. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the market and be able to develop strategic sales plans to achieve desired results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage sales territory around Mid West of France and sell NORIT products to generate target levels of revenue, volume, margins, and days outstanding from the customer base.
- Develop volume and revenue forecasts, sales plans, and strategies for achieving desired results.
- Drive both current and future value for NORIT by building a shared understanding of individual customer and overall portfolio profitability.
- Effectively communicate and negotiate complex sales contracts with customers.
- Identify new market opportunities and target builds; seek out competitive information.
- Establish and maintain processes that ensure accurate budget and forecast information for the business.
- Lead NORIT's efforts to establish levels of excellence in sales and distributor management and customer service.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in a field of science.
- Previous experience with activated carbon, filtration and purification technologies, food additives, or water treatment or working for a distributor is preferred.
- Five or more years of experience in sales.
- Fluent French and English language skills.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Results driven and business savvy professional who is able to recognize new business opportunities.
