As a key member of the Investment Risk Analysis team, you will play a vital role in the management of investment risks associated with AXA Investment Managers.

The Global Risk Management (GRM) department is tasked with delivering an independent perspective on the risks faced by AXA IM across all investment teams and entities, while also supporting risk mitigation initiatives.
Within the GRM framework, the Investment Risk Analysis team undertakes a variety of activities aimed at ensuring that all portfolios align with client objectives, internal standards, and regulatory mandates:
- Conduct independent assessments and management of Investment Risks, including Market Risk, Credit and Counterparty Risk, Liquidity Risk, Performance Risk, and Pricing and Valuation Risk.
- Lead or assist in project-based activities that enhance our global risk frameworks, focusing on areas such as Liquidity Risk and Counterparty Risk.
- Provide support to other GRM teams for their risk analysis needs as required.
As an Investment Risk Analyst, you will be at the forefront of risk identification and measurement, regularly engaging with business and risk committees. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Evaluating new investment strategies, including funds, mandates, and products, from the perspectives of market, credit, liquidity, and valuation risks.
- Establishing investment guidelines and analyzing remediation plans concerning potential breaches.
- Maintaining an ongoing awareness of portfolio risk positioning through third-party risk systems and internal models, utilizing various risk measures and decompositions.
- Continuously reviewing AXA IM's risk control framework for coverage and quality, ensuring compliance with both internal standards and regulatory requirements.
- Enhancing AXA IM's risk frameworks, including coverage, indicators, stress testing, and risk reporting.
Regularly summarize portfolio risk positioning for senior management, along with assessments of the effectiveness and completeness of the risk oversight processes.
Your Profile
Experience and Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in risk or portfolio management roles within Investment Banking or Asset Management.
- Strong understanding of various asset classes, derivatives, and their associated risk modeling.
- Technical proficiency in IT, including the ability to develop monitoring and reporting tools (VBA, Python, Access/SQL) and familiarity with standard risk analysis tools.
- Knowledge of Structured Credit, Riskmetrics, and Tableau is advantageous.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Demonstrated autonomy in handling complex tasks with minimal supervision.
- Exemplary rigor and reliability in delivering quality analysis and reports in a timely manner.
- Results-oriented with a pragmatic approach to achieving tangible outcomes.
- Strong communication skills, capable of summarizing and presenting key points effectively to management.
- Proactive in managing multiple subjects and anticipating potential challenges, escalating issues to management as necessary.
