The AXA Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Head of P&C Short Tail Business Risks. This is a key role within our Group Risk Management department, responsible for managing risks associated with short-tail commercial lines.
Key Responsibilities- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with short-tail commercial lines, including general property, construction, machinery/equipment breakdown, energy, fine art & species, political risks, terrorism and political violence, event cancellations, bloodstock/livestock/aquaculture, title insurance, and film and media.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of the Group's underwriting strategy and risk appetite, bringing expert judgment to model teams.
- Standards and Policies: Review and approve standards and policies for insurance, assumed reinsurance, and ceded reinsurance.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and contribute to the preparation of regulatory reports.
- Culture and Communication: Promote a risk management culture throughout the AXA Group and contribute to the development of a risk management framework.
- Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge and extensive experience in P&C short-tail business operations, including underwriting, pricing, claims, insurance, and reinsurance.
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business insurance rationale, processes, profitability levers, and risk management.
- Leadership and Communication: Natural leadership, excellent analytical and communication skills, and ability to work in a network with tight deadlines and team spirit.
