About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer to join our AWS Security team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative security solutions to protect our customers' data and applications.

As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will work closely with our security experts to identify and mitigate potential security risks, and develop scalable and reliable security solutions. You will also collaborate with our development teams to ensure that our security solutions are integrated seamlessly into our products and services.

We are looking for a talented engineer who is passionate about security and has a strong background in software development. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is eager to make a meaningful contribution to our team, we encourage you to apply.

About the Team

Our AWS Security team is responsible for creating and maintaining a high bar for security across all of Amazon's products and services. Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience (noninternship) in professional software development.
  • Extensive experience in designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
  • Experience in developing for Linux OS (or developing on macOS, Mac commandline experience).
  • Programming experience with at least one software programming language.
  • Java, Python, or TypeScript.
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead OR leading an engineering team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Experience developing using SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience in Cloud Technologies.
