Role Overview
The Key Account Manager for Germany is responsible for selling Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise products and services to existing and new accounts, focusing on public customers within Germany.
Responsibilities
- Maintain Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise branding in the market by creating end customer references to help partners turn customer relationships into long-term partnerships.
- Build strong relationships with end customers, key decision makers, and partner sales representatives.
- Sell converged portfolio and cloud to new accounts to fulfill turnover objectives.
- Ensure sales targets are met or exceeded in the marketplace by implementing the sales strategy defined by sales management.
- Maintain and develop existing clients to a converged product portfolio.
- Develop and deliver accurate sales forecasts in line with business objectives, including biweekly forecasting commitments.
Requirements
- Education to degree level in Sales Management or engineering, preferably.
- Demonstrate a track record of successful sales in Voice/Data/Networking/Cloud solutions with public accounts.
- At least 2 years of expertise and experience in dealing with public accounts at IT manager, senior IT level, and C-levels.
- Understanding of the market and culture in the area of federal authorities.
- Knowledge of the strategic orientation of federal authorities in the field of communication and network solutions.
- Completed formal training in Sales techniques, especially in acquisition skills.
- Strong focus on making a difference through translation of technology features into customer value.
- Ability to network within a customer and partner organization to identify key influencers and decision makers.
- Commercial focus and negotiation skills.
- CRM tool experience, preferably.
- Fluent German and English.
