We are seeking a seasoned Field National Sales Manager to lead our Consumer Goods Business Unit in France. About the Role
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and business development, with experience in managing teams and driving sales growth. You will be responsible for translating local business plans into sales plans, activities, and campaigns, and managing the day-to-day activities of a sales team to implement the organization's overall sales strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the sales organization in terms of its structure, people, and performance to achieve maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
- Coach team members on sales techniques, procedures, and standards to help them achieve their sales targets.
- Monitor and allocate the budget in line with objectives.
- Negotiate sales with existing and new customers who are of strategic importance to the organization.
- Contribute to the development of sales, marketing, customer retention, advertising, pricing, and distribution plans/strategies for the area of responsibility.
- Responsible for customer profitability.
- Generate knowledge on market development/customer needs and competitor activities and distribute to internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to overall decision making.
Requirements
- University degree, preferably in Sales or Business Administration.
- Strong Field and Sales experience in international FMCG companies.
- Strong Team Leadership skills and experience of managing team members directly and indirectly/remotely.
- Fluent in English and French, with any other relevant European language an advantage.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, knowing what is relevant for the stakeholders and being able to provide it in an understandable way.
- You have strong collaboration and leadership skills, and you are not afraid to challenge and experiment.
- Exceptional strategic and negotiation skills.
