Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales Administration Manager to join our team at Jelly Belly Candy Company. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating sales operations and administration for the International Division.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with distributors and other channels of distribution to ensure adherence to pricing strategy, philosophy, and general corporate guidelines.
  2. Participate in the formulation of business objectives for international markets.
  3. Develop and implement strategies and plans for international markets consistent with the company's business objectives.
  4. Research and analyze economic, demographic, and business factors in current or potential key markets to identify opportunities for building trade and consumer brand awareness.
  5. Identify and pursue distribution and sales opportunities in new and established markets based on market trends, economic conditions, competitive activity, and corporate business objectives.
  6. Supervise the start-up and training of new distributors and monitor periodic retraining of distributor sales representatives.
  7. Administer customer service-related functions, including preparation of customer correspondence, credits, invoicing, new account set-up, and samples.
  8. Prepare documentation for product registration, approval, and clearance by international distributors.
  9. Facilitate new product development and project management approval flow for marketing-related items and activities.
  10. Manage unsolicited international correspondence and inquiries.
  11. Assist in advertising and promotional activities and monitor their implementation and evaluation.
  12. Coordinate corporate participation in trade shows held in international locations and provide support as needed to distributors participating in local in-market trade shows.
  13. Forecast sales activity for assigned regions, including product, fixtures, POS, and volume.
  14. Coordinate, implement, and evaluate trade show activities worldwide.
  15. Ensure the accuracy of product specifications in internal databases and GDSN data pools.
  16. Manage the accuracy of International Price Lists.
  17. Manage and evaluate data to determine the effectiveness of products, sales promotions, or activities.
  18. Support the sales forecasting team based on past performance and trends.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of related experience. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of database software, spreadsheet software, and word processing software. Fluency in English and at least one foreign language is required, and the ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents is essential.

Work Environment

The work environment is typically quiet to moderate, and the employee may be required to perform other duties within the scope of their employment as may be assigned. Regular, predictable, full-time attendance is required as an essential function of this position.
