Safety Validation Manager

As a key member of the Simulation & Validation department at Automotive Cells Company (ACC), the Safety Validation Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the development of EV battery cell & module meets the highest safety standards. This position requires a strong background in electrical and physical measurement safety tests, as well as experience in managing validation and test teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the V&V project teams for Validation & qualification tests to be carried out in accordance with applicable standards and special customers or internal ACC requirements.
- Define the strategy to guarantee functional safety of our products, ensuring they meet required Safety performances and do not create any critical hazards.
- Analyze ACC project V&V requirements and identify the team workload.
- Attribute ACC V&V leader ACC project and finalize the QCDP KPI.
- Validate with V&V leader and test lab manager the validation- and test strategy.
- Manage the V&V team in compliance with ACC HR policy.
- Establish functional safety validation respecting requirements of legislation, international standards as part of compliance matrix of customer projects during RFQ and development process.
- Build the V&V test team workload and budget during RFI/RFQ phase with test lab and experts.
- Identify the V&V organization adjustment to be more ACC project team efficient.
- Identify the V&V organization budget (OPEX).
- Evaluate and improve cooperation/partnership with test lab for better efficiency.
- Guarantee the most effective & efficient validation of functional product safety requirements with the help of appropriately specified set of safety test- and simulation cases in close cooperation with system development, customer as well as Test- & Simulation teams.
- Lead and organize the V&V activities with relevant functions of ACC project and test lab.
- Manage with validation-, test- & simulation- experts & managers allocation of test- and simulation resources for validation of functional product safety related requirements.
- Manage the quality system, processes and relevant KPI of Validation Safety team compliant with applicable standards.
- Lead risk assessments for new product & process aspects in close cooperation with systems engineering teams and customer to ensure safety compliance.
- Min 10 years in similar job activities with V&V team management (Eng & technician) and activities on tests for Industrial or automotive market with respect to QCDP.
- Master's degree or Eng degree with Electrical or Physical Measurement.
- Good level in English and French.
- Proactive and anticipative, team building, well organized, good relationship/communication.
- Quality tools (8D, Ishikawa, PDCA). PLM tools.
- Automotive market & development process & project.
