At Copeland, we are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Pre-Sales Engineer to enhance our sales success and customer satisfaction. Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with the sales team to develop and implement effective sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to create and execute sales strategies that drive business growth.
  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and specifications, and provide tailored solutions.
  • Develop and manage competitive proposals to meet customer requirements.
  • Participate in pre-sales meetings with clients, including bid clarification meetings, technical presentations, and site visits.
  • Stay up-to-date on products and solutions, and update knowledge as the portfolio expands.
  • Work with the engineering team to develop optimal and competitive technical solutions.
  • Prepare technical and commercial quotes for required solutions, equipment, and services.

Requirements:

  • Degree in engineering or equivalent, with relevant experience in sectors such as chemistry, life sciences, energy, sustainability, etc.
  • Minimum years of experience in internal sales and/or equivalent customer service roles.
  • Deep technical knowledge of digital control systems, preferably DeltaV.
  • Experience with automation solution definition and pricing tools.
  • Proficiency in French and English at a professional level, both oral and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in process automation industry.
  • Availability for travel within France.
  • Ability to work in a complex matrix organization.
