Department Overview:
You will be part of the newly established Group Underwriting Office, which is focused on enhancing the performance of our insurance portfolio and driving technical excellence. This department plays a crucial role in shaping our global strategy and addressing emerging risks associated with energy transition and cyber threats.
Role and Responsibilities:
The primary purpose of this role is to develop and oversee the GUO budget, ensuring alignment with our Technical Excellence strategy while addressing operational and ad-hoc priorities. You will support the broader GUO Transformation & Operations Team in various operational and administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Managing the GUO budget, taking a strategic approach to financial planning and ensuring investments align with our Technical Excellence initiatives.
- Collaborating with the GUO Leadership Team to establish budget priorities and manage submissions using planning tools.
- Providing regular reporting on budget performance and identifying opportunities for cost savings to reinvest in strategic priorities.
- Supporting the Head of GUO Transformation & Operations with administrative tasks, including leading meetings, preparing documentation, and facilitating collaboration across departments.
- Acting as a key liaison for internal and external stakeholders, addressing requests and facilitating teamwork across various functions.
Qualifications:
Required Skills:
- Proven ability to drive change in a complex, matrixed environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex messages.
- Experience in managing budgets and procurement strategies.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting tools.
- Fluency in French and English; Spanish is a plus.
