Position Overview
As a Quantitative Analyst in Energy Trading, your responsibilities will encompass:
- Developing and executing innovative business use cases while engaging with various business divisions.
- Serving as a Data Science authority for GEM, focusing on tools and methodologies.
- Conducting market intelligence on Data Science topics.
- Collaborating with other ENGIE Data Science communities and initiatives.
Initial projects may involve optimizing trading and hedging strategies, analyzing customer flow data, and managing comprehensive supply contracts.
Candidate Profile
- Strong academic credentials, preferably in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computing.
- Experience in a commodity trading setting is advantageous.
- Familiarity with power and gas market fundamentals is a plus.
- Exceptional research and analytical capabilities, with a talent for translating analysis into tangible value.
- Strong quantitative aptitude.
- Proficient programming skills, particularly in Python; C# knowledge is a plus.
- Data management expertise.
- A collaborative team player.
