Role Overview

The Quantitative Analyst will be part of the Gas & Oil quant team, focusing on Gas Supply & Trading (GST) Business Platform. The successful candidate will deliver quantitative tools that have a concrete impact on the business, working closely with traders and other quants to develop prototypes, improve stochastic models, and implement them in the official library.

Responsibilities
  • Develop quantitative tools and models to support trading activities, including position analysis, deal pricing, and market monitoring.
  • Collaborate with traders to understand their business needs and provide quantitative support in their day-to-day activities.
  • Work with other quants to exchange ideas and leverage knowledge to improve models and tools.
  • Develop and maintain the official pricing library in C#.
  • Ensure code quality by following general rules and standards.
  • Collaborate with other teams within GEMS, including IS and Risk Methodologies.
Requirements
  • Strong mathematical skills and expertise in Quantitative Finance.
  • Good understanding of the trading and portfolio management business.
  • Good object-oriented programming skills in C# and Python.
  • Practical and conceptual thinking, ability to explain complex issues, and deliver concrete solutions.
  • Conceptual thinking, rigor, motivation, strong commitment, autonomy, and ability to work together with communication and adaptability.
Education and Professional Background
  • Engineering or university degree in Computer Sciences, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or Financial Engineering.
  • Some experience in Commodity Markets would be appreciated.
Languages
  • Fluent in English.
  • Programming language (C#, Python,...), Visual Studio, GIT.
