Senior Security Engineer F/H

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Engineer to join our Information Security and Risk team at Principal Financial Group. As a key member of our team, you will serve as a liaison between our business and the Corporate Information Security team, driving information security strategies and initiatives to protect our assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate security risks, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data.
- Develop and implement information security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Provide research and analysis on application vulnerability resolution, resolving OWASP top 10 static analysis findings, and implementing secure software development practices.
- Partner with engineering teams to remediate security acceptations, build remediation plans, and participate in pair programming and complex task handling.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and technologies, and provide recommendations for improving our security posture.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math-related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 6 years of information security engineering experience, with a focus on cloud security and security tooling.
- Experience with SAST, SCA, CASB, and other security tools, as well as proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java,.NET, Docker, Python, Go, or NodeJs.
- Ability to lead design and implementation of security automation, and good communication and organization skills.
- CISSP, CRISC, or other relevant certifications.
- Familiarity with NIST Framework and experience working in the financial services and/or insurance industry.
