About Our Client
Our client is a leading international and family-owned consumer goods group, specializing in hygiene and cleaning products. As part of a reorganization, they are seeking a Regional Sales Director GMS to cover the Île-de-France, north, and east of France regions.
Job Description
The Regional Sales Director GMS will report to the National Sales Director and be responsible for managing their team, referencing products in the regional central office, and driving sales development objectives in their sector. Their key responsibilities include:
- Team Management
- Manage and coach an 8-member team of Sector Chiefs, defining and tracking their objectives (growth, promotional negotiations, sales, and profit margins), providing guidance and training to help them achieve set goals, and ensuring effective communication and team cohesion.
- Business Planning
- Develop, deliver, and implement the business plan for their sector.
- Product Placement and Negotiation
- Ensure the implementation of national and regional agreements, negotiate product placement on the 6 SCAs under their responsibility, and ensure the downward flow of national commercial policy.
- Commercial Action Plans
- Develop and implement commercial action plans in-store and ensure their team's effective implementation.
- Sales Growth and Profitability
- Support sustainable sales growth in their territory, develop profitability through analysis of performance indicators (linear share, rotations, breakage, market share, etc.), and regularly report results to their hierarchy.
Required Profile
With a minimum of a Bac +5 degree, you must have at least 5 years of commercial experience, including experience as a Sector Chief, followed by experience as a Category Manager in the consumer goods sector, and complemented by regional or national negotiation experience. You possess excellent interpersonal, listening, and empathy skills, as well as strong leadership abilities to unite a team and meet their expectations. You also have strong analytical and organizational skills, rigor, and strong commercial and negotiation skills.
