Position Overview
Thematics Asset Management
Thematics Asset Management, located in Paris, oversees a substantial portfolio exceeding 3.0 billion USD in client assets, focusing on a selective array of global active thematic equity strategies. As a part of Natixis Investment Managers, one of the leading asset management firms globally, Thematics AM was established by six partners in early 2019, five of whom are seasoned portfolio managers with a strong reputation in thematic investing. The firm operates with an entrepreneurial mindset, managing funds through fundamental bottom-up research and conviction-based stock selection within a structured investment framework.
Responsible Investment at Thematics
The Responsible Investment (RI) team is tasked with steering the responsible investment strategy for Thematics AM. This team outlines the overall RI strategy and supervises the execution of sustainability-related policies across investment funds. Key responsibilities include: enhancing the sustainable investing framework, providing expertise to the investment team, reporting on ESG performance, and creating original thought leadership materials. Additionally, the team supports Portfolio Managers in ESG analysis and company engagements, monitors the sustainable investment landscape for regulatory and market developments, and drives ESG communication and marketing initiatives.
Main Responsibilities
Assist the ESG team with daily operations and ongoing projects Collaborate closely with ESG and Climate specialists on RI policy development and improvements Provide essential support in company ESG engagements, including analysis, engagement, monitoring, and tracking Conduct data analysis for reporting and disclosure, as well as portfolio risk assessment Contribute to the creation of ESG-specific content for clients and marketing purposes Support Portfolio Managers with ESG-related research Help produce ESG thought leadership materialsRequired Profile and Skills
Candidate Profile
o Post-graduate students, ideally with a degree in sustainability, environmental science, or finance with a focus on environmental or social economics.
o Preferably with prior internship experience in ESG or sustainability research
o Strong English written and verbal communication skills
o Advanced Excel proficiency and a keen interest in data analytics
o Skills or a strong interest in design and digital marketing are advantageous
o A robust work ethic and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure, multicultural environment
A genuine interest in sustainable investing, independence, excellent writing skills, and proficiency in Excel and data analytics will be significant assets for success in this role. The ideal candidate will exhibit dynamism, a willingness to learn, and a proactive attitude. Team spirit, resilience, and a passion for achieving results are essential qualities for this position.
