Job Overview
As a District Sales Executive at Expeditors, you will be responsible for managing an assigned territory and building strong relationships with customers and competitors. Your extensive knowledge of the area will enable you to identify opportunities and drive sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage an assigned territory and develop a deep understanding of potential customers and competitors
- Timely data entry in our Customer Relationship Management tool to track progress and identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with regional Product, Service, Geo, and Knowledge Management resources to deliver value-added solutions for customer logistics needs
- Support the transition of new accounts through customer introductions, information transfer, and securing necessary customer paperwork
- Attend training and development sessions to enhance selling skills and stay up-to-date on Expeditors' products and services
- Participate in local trade groups as directed by the District Sales Manager
- Take on additional assignments as required to support company needs
Requirements
- Ability to meet with customers off-site on a regular basis
- Oral and written proficiency in English
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work productively individually and in a team environment
- Sense of urgency for goal achievement
- Self-motivated with ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
- Comfortable with regular data entry on a laptop computer
