Job Title: Sales Technical Engineer

LaMotte Europe is seeking a highly skilled Sales Technical Engineer to join our team. As a Sales Technical Engineer, you will be responsible for managing direct sales to new accounts primarily for the Pool & Spa markets, with other assigned markets as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Grow the business of direct accounts, as well as prospect for new business in accordance with the sales business strategy.
  • Provide technical assistance and understanding to new and existing customers through product training, application evaluations, technical support, and on-site troubleshooting.
  • Actively seek direct technical training opportunities events/seminars with existing and new key clients.
  • Direct customer sales of LaMotte products for the Pool & Spa sector but also other specified industries for the LaMotte product range.
  • Research competitive products and market trends, share the gathered information with the Product Management team, and provide suggestions for new features to be included in the future.
  • Attend and be part of the exhibiting Sales Team at European Trade Exhibitions.
  • Upon request, visit and report on European Trade Exhibitions that LaMotte is not attending.
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with key players in the industry.
Qualifications:
  • Degree educated in a technical or business discipline is required.
  • 3-5 years of sales-related experience required.
  • Strong business development and key account management skills.
  • Troubleshooting skills with the ability to problem solve in a customer setting.
  • CRM Experience preferred (Salesforce).
  • Ability to sell to major accounts.
  • Additional Skills required: Strong negotiating, Critical thinking, Strategic thinking, Analytical skills, Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both French and English, other languages would be advantageous.
