Operating across 12 countries, including regions in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, we focus on generating and distributing low-carbon electricity. Our efforts encompass the advancement of both nuclear and renewable energy sources, as well as the modernization of energy infrastructure. We are actively involved in the establishment and planning of new transmission and distribution networks, and we are exploring hydrogen applications to reduce carbon emissions in transportation and industrial sectors.
In Türkiye, Assystem is recognized for its collaboration with both public and private entities. Our specialization includes Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA), site evaluations, and laboratory analyses, providing essential engineering services for site supervisors and financial stakeholders. Our contributions are significant in major initiatives, including power generation projects and the development of nuclear facilities.
We are currently looking for a Community Engagement and Resettlement Consultant for a significant infrastructure project.
Role Responsibilities- Assume the role of Social and Resettlement Specialist for the project.
- Oversee social and resettlement obligations in alignment with international standards and local regulations.
- Generate bi-monthly monitoring reports for the Resettlement Action Plan (RAP).
- Facilitate and support RAP implementation and livelihood restoration initiatives.
- Contribute to the preparation of project documentation and reports.
- Engage in site activities and project route assessments as required.
- Participate in meetings and negotiations related to both physical and economic resettlement matters.
- Review and update existing project documentation as necessary.
- A degree in a relevant field from a recognized university or institution.
- Proficiency in both English and Turkish, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in executing RAP and livelihood restoration projects, particularly in linear infrastructure initiatives, adhering to international financial institution standards in Türkiye.
- Extensive experience in stakeholder engagement for major infrastructure projects, compliant with international financial institution guidelines.
- Demonstrated expertise in social and resettlement protocols as per international finance institutions, particularly EBRD, AIIB, and World Bank standards, alongside local legislation.
- Experience in managing both physical and economic resettlement processes.
- In-depth knowledge of EBRD's social requirements and a proven track record of successful implementation.
