Clarins Group, a leading skincare and make-up company, is seeking a highly skilled Scientific Communication Project Manager to join our team. As a key player in our scientific communication department, you will be responsible for developing and promoting innovative, high-performance, and differentiating skincare and makeup products.
Working closely with our R&D teams, you will integrate relevant scientific concepts into our marketing strategy and ensure product consistency. You will also create compelling storytelling around scientific discoveries, active concepts, and biological mechanisms, while formulating clear and accessible claims for consumers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with R&D teams and Marketing to ensure product development meets expectations
- Participate in drafting product briefs and monitoring research programs
- Brainstorm with Active Ingredients department on selecting active ingredients for testing
- Draft claims and table of claims with Marketing
- Coordinate with evaluation department to define efficacy testing programs
Scientific Product Communication:
- Create storytelling about plant/molecule/scientific discovery and product performance claims
- Nurture make-up's dual positioning with scientific stories and strong claims
- Monitor regulatory validation of sensitive claims
- Write scientific dossier explaining product innovation and efficacy
- Support editorial teams in drafting communication materials
Competitive/Scientific Watch:
- Monitor trends, texture/packaging innovations, and scientific concepts
- Feedback information to R&D and Marketing to feed stories and future products
Requirements:
- Master's degree in science (biology, pharmacy, or equivalent) and 4-5 years of experience in scientific communication
- Strong knowledge of cosmetic sector, including ingredients and finished products
- Excellent listening skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and talent for pedagogy
- Capacity for analysis, synthesis, and project management
- Proficiency in office tools and excellent fluency in English
