Scientific Project Manager

At SFBI, we're united in our mission to push the boundaries of genomics and biology. As the Head of Scientific Project Management, you'll play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and project management within our organization.
About the RoleThis is a hybrid role, requiring you to be on-site in Paris weekly, with remote days available as well. You'll lead our Scientific Project Management Team, overseeing resources, ensuring project alignment with company goals, and fostering effective communication.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Scientific Project Management Team, comprising two seasoned professionals with backgrounds in genomics, bioinformatics, and project management.
- Oversee resources, ensuring project alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Foster effective communication among team members and stakeholders.
- Continuously improve project management processes and tools, championing a Project Management culture.
- Work with teams to prepare public funding applications, defining project goals and structure, and ensuring they meet agency requirements.
- Ensure our project portfolio is up-to-date and accurate, leading regular Project Review meetings, and informing executive management about ongoing projects, milestones, issues, and risks.
- A Master's in Molecular Biology, Genomics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Structural Biology, Computational Chemistry, or another related discipline, or a Master's in a relevant scientific field coupled with industry leadership experience.
- Prior management experience, successfully leading a team of two or more project managers, scientists, engineers, or other professionals.
- Robust project management and resource management capabilities, including task prioritization, resource allocation, and effective communication.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and proficiency in business-level French.
