About the Role:

The Head of IS Risk and PnL Operations will be responsible for overseeing and managing the IS Risk and PnL FO Core and Risk and PnL FO Solutions teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the teams
  • Ensure that the teams are adhering to the organization's standards and policies
  • Collaborate with other teams within the organization to ensure that the teams are aligned with the overall goals of the organization
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the teams and ensure that they are motivated and engaged
  • Work closely with the business to understand their needs and ensure that the teams are delivering the required services and solutions
  • Integrate the internal pricing library
  • Ensure that the developments necessary for the several streams of the Gemstone projects are delivered in time

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Proven experience in managing IS teams with knowledge on the pricing of derivatives products, ideally for commodities or energy products
  • Previous experience with Grid computing technology (Datasynapse, Symphony...)
  • Ideally previous experience with vendor package (Sophis, Murex, Orchestrade...)

  • Leadership and Team Management: Excellent leadership skills to guide the team effectively, foster a collaborative environment, and manage conflicts
  • Decision-Making Ability: ability to make quick, informed decisions under high-pressure situations
  • Good communication skills across a range of channels and audiences to clearly explain ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to understand and negotiate the needs and expectations of different stakeholders
  • Ability to establish credibility, build consensus, and achieve goals through influence
