Human Factors Specialist for Flight Operations

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Human Factors Specialist to join our Commercial Aircraft business in Toulouse, France. As a key member of our Flight Operations customer support organisation, you will contribute to the development of safe and efficient flight operations by incorporating human performance and limitations into our research, development, certification, production, and customer support activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the analysis of in-service events from a human factors perspective, collecting and categorizing human errors, analyzing human-related events, and contributing to the report of analysis of events and follow-up.
- Select and apply human factors methods for designing and assessing products or procedures, including Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Human System Interaction (HSI) guidelines.
- Contribute to innovation and increase human factors knowledge of Airbus teams, fostering an efficient cooperation with the Airbus HF experts network, technical documentation, linguistic domain, safety representatives of customer service and engineering.
Requirements:
- Master's degree or PhD in Cognitive Psychology/Ergonomics, Human Factors, or a related field, with a strong background in human knowledge and human factors methods.
- Academic or professional background in physiology and anthropometrics is highly valued.
- Technical knowledge of human capabilities and limitations in complex and high-risk systems, pilot tasks and aircraft operations in normal and abnormal conditions, Airbus aircraft, and processes in aircraft design, human factors evaluations, and flight operations activities.
- Professional skills in human factors competencies, stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation.
- Behavioural skills in proactiveness, team working, autonomy, open-mindedness, ability to negotiate and convince, strong communication skills, ethics and compliance mindset, rigour, self-initiative, adaptability, self-confidence, ability to build relationships, and transparency.
