Objective:
As part of the Engineering Division, you will join the Flight Technologies team. This role requires collaboration within a compact and agile group of engineers to tackle various challenges related to flight and ground loads for our aircraft. The primary aim is to support the operational ATR fleet, contribute to ongoing projects, and assist in the advancement of ATR products towards more sustainable and efficient aviation solutions.
This position offers a dynamic environment that encourages autonomy, adaptability, and innovative thinking, allowing you to effectively balance available resources, current demands, and the historical context of ATR design.
As a Flight Loads Specialist, your responsibilities will encompass a range of activities in the domain of ground and flight loads, including:
- Conducting analyses of flight and ground loads in relation to development modifications or prospective projects.
- Providing the stress analysis team with a detailed schedule of activities and the required format for loads data.
- Investigating in-service fleet events linked to potential overloads (such as hard landings or turbulence) to assess whether design load limits have been surpassed.
- Issuing task forms to subcontractors and monitoring budget utilization.
- Testing methodologies and internal tools related to loads computation.
Candidate Profile:
- Master's degree or equivalent engineering qualification in aeronautics.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in structural ground or flight loads analysis.
- Fundamental understanding of in-service incident analysis.
- Basic knowledge of aircraft design principles.
- Strong collaborative spirit and willingness to engage with multiple disciplines.
- Curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
- Adaptability and flexibility in approach.
- Proficient in presenting technical findings.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in French is advantageous.
- Programming experience in Python is preferred.
- A pilot license is considered a plus.
Note: This role may require participation in on-call duties.
