Position: Project Engineering Manager (eWPM) - Radio Communications
WHO ARE YOU?
You hold a higher education degree (Engineer or equivalent) and possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of system engineering, including at least 5 years in managing engineering deliverables (Engineering Delivery Manager or IVVQ Manager).
You also have experience as a Work Package Manager or at least a detailed understanding of the responsibilities associated with this role.
Your expertise includes strong knowledge in Software Defined Radio.
You are familiar with the military domain and the DGA client.
You demonstrate excellent communication and influencing skills, and your interpersonal abilities are well recognized.
You possess a strong team spirit and value collaborative work, along with a keen analytical mindset.
You are meticulous, proactive, and committed to teamwork, combining listening, engagement, and sharing.
WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER:
The Radio Communication Products (RCP) sector designs radios and embedded tactical communication solutions, friend/foe identification systems (IFF), radionavigation systems, and electronic warfare communication solutions.
Within the Radio Solutions Engineering Competence Center (IRS), you will join the Engineering Delivery Department, which includes Engineering Delivery Managers (EDM) and eWPMs for major RCP projects.
Following the successful completion of recent milestones and operational testing of the Tactical CONTACT system, which is set to deploy software-defined vehicular and portable radios within the French forces, we are initiating the development of a new version (CONTACT-NG) that will incorporate significant capability enhancements across various Army branches.
As the eWPM for the 'Combat UHF' stream of the CONTACT-NG project, you will be responsible for delivering this subset of the overall solution within budget, on schedule, and with quality assurance, under the guidance of the EDM Solution.
You will oversee all engineering and financial activities for this stream from inception to completion: System Engineering, coordination of Building Block developments, System IVVQ, field experiments, and Operational Maintenance.
Ultimately, you will provide the necessary support for the integration of this stream into the overall CONTACT-NG solution.
You will be a key member of the Integrated Project Team.
The project duration is approximately 5 years, with an average team size of around 200 individuals.
Due to the nature of the project, which may involve access to information classified as national defense secrets, the selected candidate will undergo a security clearance process in accordance with the relevant defense code provisions.
