As a Co-Founder and Head of Technology at Simusion, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological direction and execution of our groundbreaking game development initiatives. This position is perfect for an individual with a profound enthusiasm for gaming, state-of-the-art technology, and a commitment to influencing the future of immersive entertainment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership in Technology:
  • Formulate and steer the technical strategy and roadmap in harmony with the company's overarching vision.
  • Supervise the creation and deployment of all gaming technologies, ensuring top-tier quality and performance.
  • Assess and incorporate new technologies and tools to elevate game development and delivery.
  • Game Creation:
  • Direct the development of gaming applications utilizing Unity, Unreal Engine, and other pertinent platforms.
  • Employ advanced 3D modeling software such as 3ds Max, Maya, Blender, and Photoshop to produce captivating visuals and immersive settings.
  • Implement and refine game mechanics, physics, and AI through C#, C++, Java, Python, and machine learning methodologies.
  • Virtual and Augmented Reality:
  • Craft and develop innovative VR/AR experiences, focusing on platforms like Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and other emerging technologies.
  • Enhance performance and user experience for VR/AR applications.
  • Team Development & Management:
  • Recruit, mentor, and guide a team of developers, designers, and engineers, nurturing a culture of creativity and collaboration.
  • Provide technical direction and hands-on assistance to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
  • Work in close partnership with the CEO and other co-founders to align technical objectives with business goals.
  • Collaborate with artists, designers, and other stakeholders to craft cohesive and engaging gaming experiences.
  • Articulate technical concepts to non-technical team members and external partners.
  • Product Development & Innovation:
  • Oversee the complete software development lifecycle, from conception to deployment, ensuring timely and high-quality releases.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and innovations, integrating the latest techniques and tools into the development workflow.
  • Quality Assurance & Optimization:
  • Establish robust testing and QA protocols to guarantee product stability and performance.
  • Optimize games for various platforms, ensuring seamless performance across diverse devices and resolutions.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Extensive background in game development, with a robust portfolio of completed projects.
  • Proficient in game engines such as Unity and Unreal Engine.
  • Expertise in 3D modeling and graphic design tools like 3D Max, Maya, Blender, and Photoshop.
  • Strong programming capabilities in C#, C++, Java, Python, and familiarity with machine learning techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with VR/AR development, particularly with SDKs for Oculus and HTC Vive.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to innovate within constraints.
  • Outstanding leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities, with the capacity to convey complex technical ideas to a diverse audience.
