The Role

As the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will play a pivotal role in steering the technological direction and execution of our groundbreaking game development initiatives. This position is perfect for an individual who possesses a profound enthusiasm for gaming, state-of-the-art technology, and a vision to redefine immersive experiences. In your capacity as a co-founder, you will partner closely with the founding team to strategize, design, and implement innovative solutions that challenge the limits of the gaming industry.

  • Technical Leadership:
  • Formulate and advance the technical strategy and roadmap in line with the company’s objectives.
  • Supervise the development and deployment of all gaming technologies, ensuring top-notch quality and performance.
  • Assess and incorporate new technologies and tools to improve game development and delivery.
  • Game Development:
  • Oversee the creation of gaming applications utilizing Unity, Unreal Engine, and other relevant platforms.
  • Employ advanced 3D modeling tools such as 3ds Max, Maya, Blender, and Photoshop to craft visually stunning and immersive environments.
  • Implement and refine game mechanics, physics, and AI through programming languages including C#, C++, Java, Python, and machine learning methodologies.
  • Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR):
  • Design and create state-of-the-art VR/AR experiences, focusing on platforms like Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and other emerging technologies.
  • Enhance performance and user experience for VR/AR applications.
  • Team Development & Management:
  • Recruit, mentor, and guide a team of developers, designers, and engineers, nurturing a culture of innovation and teamwork.
  • Provide technical leadership and hands-on assistance to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
  • Work closely with the CEO and other co-founders to align technical objectives with business goals.
  • Engage with artists, designers, and other stakeholders to create cohesive and engaging gaming experiences.
  • Articulate technical concepts to non-technical team members and external partners.
  • Product Development & Innovation:
  • Lead the complete software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment, ensuring timely and high-quality product releases.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and innovations, integrating the latest techniques and tools into the development workflow.
  • Quality Assurance & Optimization:
  • Establish robust testing and quality assurance processes to guarantee product stability and performance.
  • Optimize games for various platforms, ensuring seamless performance across different devices and resolutions.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Extensive experience in game development, supported by a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • Proficient in game engines such as Unity and Unreal Engine.
  • Expertise in 3D modeling and graphic design tools like 3D Max, Maya, Blender, and Photoshop.
  • Strong programming skills in C#, C++, Java, Python, and familiarity with machine learning techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with VR/AR development, particularly with SDKs for Oculus and HTC Vive.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to innovate within constraints.
  • Outstanding leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical ideas to a diverse audience.
  • A genuine passion for gaming and a deep understanding of the gaming landscape.
