Role Overview
As the Senior Manager for Enterprise Sales (Southern Europe), you will spearhead the development and execution of our sales strategy aimed at driving revenue growth and enhancing market presence. You will lead a high-performing sales team, foster robust relationships with key stakeholders, and play a pivotal role in Freshworks' business expansion. A proven history in selling enterprise SaaS solutions, particularly in ITSM and CX, is essential, along with a resilient mindset and strong leadership capabilities.
- You will report directly to the General Manager for the Southern Europe region, representing Freshworks in the area.
- Formulate a compelling annual strategy that cultivates a culture of execution, focusing on new customer acquisition, expanding existing accounts, and maintaining high retention rates.
- Build and oversee a high-performing sales team, managing performance metrics effectively.
- Supervise four Senior Growth and Expansion team members, actively participating in client and prospect meetings.
- Provide ongoing mentorship and development for the sales team, including recruitment, onboarding, and training new representatives on the sales process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Business Development, Marketing, Solution Engineering, Customer Success, and HR, to ensure alignment of sales initiatives with company objectives.
- Drive and finalize both strategic/complex deals and regular sales transactions.
- Conduct regular forecast meetings, business reviews, and monitor the sales activities of the team while tracking performance outcomes.
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to uncover opportunities for product and service enhancements.
- Forecast sales projections, monitor performance against targets, and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Exemplify the Freshworks CHAT culture and values as a role model.
- Serve as an external spokesperson, promoting Freshworks' vision, values, and brand across Southern European markets through public engagements, interviews, and published content.
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience in a managerial capacity.
- 8+ years of experience in software sales.
- Strong background in selling SaaS solutions, preferably within the CRM sector.
- Proven experience working with Enterprise Customers.
- In-depth knowledge of the Southern European market with a track record of driving sales growth in the region.
- Exceptional leadership and managerial skills, capable of inspiring and motivating a sales team while demonstrating resilience in dynamic environments.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation abilities.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the capacity to excel in a fast-paced, evolving organization.
- Proficiency in both English and Italian OR Spanish (business professional).
- A robust network of executives within the customer/prospect base.
