Commis Chef Role Summary
As a Commis Chef at our Mercure Nottingham Sherwood Hotel, you will be an integral part of our culinary team, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Commis Chef to join our team. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in the preparation of dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the overall kitchen operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of dishes in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain excellent food hygiene practices throughout the food chain.
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by the kitchen team.
Requirements
- Trade qualification and relevant experience in a hotel environment.
- Genuine passion for food and high standards of production and presentation.
- Working understanding of and ability to maintain food safety standards and HACCP.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Impeccable grooming and presentation.
- Able to multitask, work well under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
