We are seeking a highly skilled postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) LIST. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a cutting-edge project exploring generative AI in the context of system modeling and associated tool support.

Project Overview

The goal of this post-doc is to investigate the application of generative AI in software modeling, with a focus on integrating AI assistants into model-based engineering practices and tools. The project will involve exploring the potential of large language models (LLMs) and other AI technologies to support software development, including code completion, refactoring, and analysis.

Responsibilities

The postdoctoral researcher will be responsible for:

  • Investigating the application of generative AI in software modeling
  • Developing and evaluating AI-powered tools for software development
  • Collaborating with the research team to integrate AI assistants into model-based engineering practices and tools
  • Contributing to the development of open-source software, including the UML modeler Papyrus
Requirements

To be considered for this position, the candidate should have:

  • A PhD in a relevant field, such as computer science, software engineering, or AI
  • Strong expertise in software engineering, including model-driven approaches
  • Experience with generative AI, including LLMs and prompt engineering
  • Excellent programming skills, including proficiency in languages such as Python or Java
