About the Role
As a Tooling Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our tooling department at our St-Aignan-Grandlieu site. This position reports directly to the Methods and Industrialization Manager.
Responsibilities
- Manage tooling lists, including those on customer software platforms.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of tooling assets.
- Conduct periodic tooling inspections to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Lead and develop a team of skilled professionals, including OT maintenance technicians, design engineers, and programmers.
- Effectively manage workload and capacity to meet production demands.
- Drive tooling modifications and improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure consistency in specifications issued by business managers.
- Manage quotations and ensure alignment with budget and estimated costs.
- Take ownership of tooling quality and implement rigorous quality control measures.
- Coordinate the validation and production launch of modified or improved tooling, adhering to lead time commitments.
- Proactively suggest improvements concerning tooling and its utilization.
- Lead the programming of on-site CNC machines for industrialization purposes.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within your team, aligning with business objectives and organizational needs.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in tooling management, coupled with proven leadership skills. A deep understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes and industry best practices is essential.
