Position: Assistant Chef for Banquet Services
Overview:
Under the guidance of the Banquet Chef, the Assistant Chef plays a crucial role in ensuring seamless service operations. They coordinate and oversee all service teams, adapting their leadership style to align with the brand's ethos. With a passion for gastronomy, they uphold the highest standards of food quality while maintaining profitability and efficiency through adherence to technical specifications. As an active manager, they contribute to creating a vibrant kitchen and dining atmosphere, ensuring an outstanding experience for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Banquet Chef in daily operations
- Engage in the development of new technical specifications and refresh the Banquet promotional materials
- Guarantee the presentation, quality, and temperature of dishes during service
- Prepare and serve dishes in accordance with technical specifications, ensuring timely delivery
- Address specific requests from guests
- May showcase part of the food preparation in front of guests during events
- Implement brand and hotel policies and procedures
- Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the service
- Organize team activities, prioritizing customer service and skill development
- Ensure proper utilization of kitchen equipment
- Exemplify the Heartist spirit in interactions with guests
- Maintain professional appearance and adhere to grooming standards
Qualifications:
- BTS in Hospitality Management or equivalent
- At least 4 years of experience as an Assistant Chef in high-volume catering, brasserie, or luxury hotel settings
- Proficiency in French
- Ability to train, inspire, and lead a team
- English language skills are advantageous
- Understanding of budgeting, cost control, hygiene standards, and operational management
- Leadership attributes: positive mindset, team-oriented, problem-solving skills
