Job Description
As a Construction Cost Analyst, you will play a vital role in the financial success of construction projects. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, including:
- Cost Estimation and Financial Management: Accurately estimate project costs and oversee financial management throughout the construction lifecycle.
- Budget Preparation and Analysis: Develop detailed quotes and budget estimates for public sector projects, ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines.
- Feasibility Studies and Cost Optimization: Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies and cost analyses, evaluating materials, labor, and equipment requirements to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Tender Processes and Vendor Selection: Participate actively in tender processes, collaborating with stakeholders to select the most suitable vendors based on cost, quality, and performance.
- Project Documentation and Monitoring: Prepare essential project documents (CCTP, DQE) and diligently monitor budgets throughout the construction phase.
- Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong working relationships with architects, engineers, site managers, and other key personnel to ensure seamless project execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Economics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in construction economics, with a focus on public sector projects.
- In-depth knowledge of regulations governing public works projects.
- Exceptional analytical and negotiation skills.
- Highly organized individual with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
